Veteran life insurance leads: veterans and their families, asking today

Updated October 10, 2026 · Vital Edge Leads

A veteran lead closes when the call starts with the veteran’s own answers: their branch, what coverage they have now, and who they want protected. Our veteran funnels ask exactly that, on pages we own. Each lead confirms their phone by text code and lands in your portal and CRM the moment they submit, delivered only to you.

The gap veterans walk into

Military life insurance does not follow a veteran home for long. SGLI gives “120 days of free coverage from the date you leave the military.” After that, VGLI has to be applied for “within 1 year and 120 days of leaving the military,” and its “monthly cost depends only on your age.” (VA: SGLI, VA: VGLI, read October 10, 2026.)

That is the conversation our veteran funnels start. They meet the visitor as a veteran first and a buyer second, and they ask about the coverage they had, the coverage they have, and the family it is for.

Each veteran lead type is a different conversation

Lead typeWho is on the other endHow to open the call
Veteran PlatinumVeterans and their spouses shopping for life coverage. The funnel captures branch, who the coverage is for and the amount they want.Their branch, and who the coverage protects
Veteran DiamondVeterans and spouses who finished the long quiz: branch, who the coverage is for, existing coverage, budget and beneficiary.Read their answers back before you pitch anything
Veteran Active DutyVeterans, active duty, Guard and Reserve, roughly 30 to 65, who said what they have in place today and what they want it to cover. What they have now: SGLI, VGLI, or nothing
Veteran WidowsSurviving spouses of veterans, mostly 55 and up, asking about final expense coverage.Empathy first, then a small policy with a level premium
Veteran TruckerVeterans who drive for a living or are heading into trucking, with what happened to their military coverage.“You said your coverage ended and nothing replaced it.”

Every one runs as your own campaign on a web funnel we own. Run up to two lead types at once and switch whenever you want.

How to work a veteran lead

  1. Open with their answers.Branch, service status and who they want protected are on the lead. Use them in the first sentence.
  2. Sit next to the VA, not against it.Position private coverage alongside their VA benefits. Price a level premium against VGLI, whose cost depends on age.
  3. Lead with living benefits.Coverage that pays while they are alive, if their health gives out, is a different conversation from a death benefit. Have it ready.
  4. Call fast.Call while they still remember asking, and book a time if they are driving or on shift.

What every veteran lead includes

What agents ask us first

What are veteran life insurance leads?

Veterans, service members and their families who asked about life coverage. Ours come from funnels built for veterans, on pages we own, and each one confirms their phone by text code before it reaches you.

Which veteran lead type should I start with?

Platinum for steady volume. Diamond or Active Duty for the most detail per lead. Widows suits agents who already work final expense. Trucker suits agents who know the 1099 conversation. You can run two at once and switch whenever you want.

Do you sell veteran live transfers?

No, not today. Every veteran lead is a web lead you call yourself, minutes after they submit.

What does a veteran lead cost?

Whatever the ads cost. Across all our lead types, cost per lead has ranged from about $5 to $70. Your dashboard shows yours every day, with the subscription folded in.
